Case 1: Python in Data Analysis |
Leveraging the latest technologies in data analysis is critical for understanding your marketing campaigns. Using the Python programming language, I am able to analyze various kinds of data-sets such as Google Ad spend, the costs of social media campaigns or finance related data.
My passion for data analysis grew rather quickly as I focus largely on sales operations and digital marketing activities where analytics and data review are a large part of my day-to-day. Sure, Excel and Google Sheets are fine as spreadsheet tools and for some kinds of data visualizations, but Python can be used to work with very large data-sets and has additional functionality that allows for reading, processing and cleaning your data which can later be exported to new excel files with just the relevant information needed. The core libraries that I am using currently are Pandas, Numpy and Matplotlib. The above images are a sample capture of how I have created functions that allow the user to upload a file for processing information using the Pandas library within Python. |
Case 2: Foko
Foko is a Gatineau based messaging and image app designed for retail teams.
If you've heard of Slack, Foko is local and much cooler.
I had done a contract with their team a while back, towards the end of 2016, and had worked on lead gen strategies to help their sales team prepare e-mail marketing campaigns.
While the prospecting side can be dry at times, it was quite interesting to see how potential brands in the retail space could benefit from deploying a unique SaaS across their global stores.
Visual merchandising doesn't have to be messy, and with today's apps and latest tech, why should it be?
